WHO WE ARE

Mel & Carly have worked together over the last 10 years in the hospitality industry. They set up CMJ Events in 2012 with the dream of running events across Perth and in 2014 took over the Swan Valley Wedding Open Day

The Swan Valley Wedding Open Day event evolved since the girls ran it and exploded to include 19 venues in 2018 with thousands of couples coming along on the day with hundreds of weddings booked!

There was then a demand from the venues to host a Twilight evening in summer to take advantage of the balmy evenings and so couples could experience their venues at night - just like their wedding night. The Swan Valley Twilight Wedding Expo begun in January of 2019 & was a huge success and now a yearly event in January!

Fremantle Wedding Open Day was the girls next challenge taking on the event back in October 2019 - and is now also an annual event in the Port City.

They decided to finish the range of wedding region’s showcasing putting together a Perth City Wedding Open Day starting February 2020 with 22 venues across the city. The open day happens every year in February.

Mel & Carly are passionate about the wedding industry and love to help venues showcase themselves to wedding couples with region wedding open days. More details coming on future events.

VENUES & SUPPLIERS WANTING TO BE INVOLVED

What type of venue can be involved?

You need to be a venue that caters for wedding receptions or ceremonies with experience in this type of event. As a venue, what are we required to offer? As a venue it is up to you to showcase your venue how you wish. You will need to arrange your own suppliers to exhibit on the day along with ensure your team can assist with couples attending your venue.

How do we become a Wedding Open Day supplier?

We have advertising opportunities in the official brochure for each event. By securing a space you will be listed as a supplier on the event website for 12 months and have social media advertising through the official Facebook and Instagram pages.

How do we exhibit our products on the day?

If you are a supplier wanting to be involved on the day, you would need to contact one of the participating venues to request to showcase with them. It is up to each venue who they have exhibit at their venue. A full list of participating venues can be found on events pages.
